The Mac Mac Quad Trails
is an exciting new adventure for quad bike riders that cover some “off
the beaten” trails in the picturesque Mpumalanga Escarpment area. Most
of these “off the beaten” trails are off limits to the general public,
but now, for the first time ever, Global Forest Products Pty Ltd
approved a sole concession that allows us to take quad bike riders on a
guided, eco friendly exploration in one of the rich historical and most
beautiful areas of South Africa . The quad trails include spectacular
mountain trails, stunning views, compellingly beautiful waterfalls,
crystal clear rivers, hidden valleys and pristine forests.
Our new paintball
course at Mac Mac Forest Retreat is another exciting addition to
the activities we have on offer. A game of paintball includes a
lot of exciting fun and plenty of laughter. So bring your
co-workers, friends or family and spend a relaxing and fun
filled day.
Yet another exciting and awesome way to experience the "off the
beaten track" beauty of the Mpumalanga Escarpment . Follow the
upper Blyde River on a canoe. We start close to the catchments
area of the Blyde River and enjoy spectacular scenery. This is
not a white water rafting ride; it is a relaxing canoeing trip
through beautiful areas on the Blyde River. The trip is suitable
for families. Canoeing trips is seasonal,
other activities include 4X4 routes, archery, hiking and gold
panning
Gold panning may
have its roots firmly in the past and can often be perceived to be
dominantly in the domain of a bygone era in our history. In South
Africa, gold panning has however both feet firmly in the future and has
captured the interest and imagination of young and old. The 2005 World
Gold Panning Championships hosted by South Africa at Pilgrims Rest was
more than adequate proof that the gold fever that ignited a
spirit of adventure in thousands of men and women in the past is still
very prevalent in South Africa today. |
